A Bus-Company with tradition
| 1890 | Matthias Holzmair founds the horse drawn carriage business in Munich. The first city sightseeing tours and excursions take place |

| 1907 | Rudolf Schoenecker, Sr. uses the first motorized "Omnibus" for city sightseeing tours |
| 1909 | The rivals Holzmair and Schoenecker join forces as the Vereinigte Münchner Fremdenrundfahrten |
| 1927 | The founders´ sons, Max Holzmair and Rudolf Schoenecker, establish the Motorwagen - Gesellschaft Oberbayern, which is now known as AutobusOberbayern GmbH |
| 1930 | The Nord-Süd travel agency is re-established. It deals with bus, rail and ship travel. |
| 1945 | After the war, the company is rebuilt by the second - generation heirs, Rudolf Schoenecker and Max Holzmair |
| 1986 | INS-Reisen is founded to organize joint events between AutobusOberbayern and Isaria Reisen |
| 1995 | The travel agencies of the company obtain the "DER" as a second partner |
| 1998 | Acquisition of the bus company A. Schranner |
| 1999 | AutobusOberbayern founds a joint venture with 5 other companies to form a company called "Teambus Die Münchner Busreisen". Services offered by INS-Reisen are integrated |
| 2001 | The final shares of the travel agency chain "AO Touristik" are sold; the main aim being to concentrate more on the real essence of the business |
| 2003 | Acquisition of the old-established bus company "Sareiter Busbetrieb" in Bad Wiesseen |
| 2004 | Acquisition of the buscompany "Kraftverkehr Bayern GmbH" Munich in cooperation with the partner "Baumann Busbetrieb GmbH" |
| 2006 | 49 % of A. Schranner sold to Stadtwerke Münche GmbH; company renamed Münchner Linien GmbH & co. KG |
| 2008 | "Sareiter Busbetrieb" becomes a division of Autobus Oberbayern GmbH |
